Maker Buddy: Graham's Boat Cusions

One of the roles I'm taking at the fieldhouse is "Maker Buddy". I help people who want to make a thing. Graham is a retired farmer who loves raising bees and sailing boats. He needed to recover some worn out old boat cushions and is not 100% familiar with the process and the sewing machine. So I'm working with Graham to help him accomplish this project.
​On our first day we measured and estimated the amount of fabric, Purchased fabric and cut the pieces out for the first cushion cover. We started on the sewing - but that was all the time we had - so we'll continue with the sewing on our next day tgether. I love that we had a bright sunny day and could work outside - and a lot of light gets inside the fieldhouse and helps us see what we're doing.
